Cornell’s Supplemental Essays [2023 Update]

Cornell’s Supplemental Essays [2023 Update]

This year, Cornell has significantly altered its application essay prompt! Here is the updated Cornell Supplemental Application Essay Prompt for the 2023-2024 application season (class of 2024)

Prompt 1: In the aftermath of the U.S. Civil War, Ezra Cornell wrote, “I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study.” For over 150 years, Cornell University has remained deeply committed to Ezra’s vision. Explain how your life experiences will help inform your contributions to a learning community devoted to “…any person…any study.” We encourage you to think broadly about your life experiences, including how local (e.g., family, school, neighborhood) or global communities you’ve been part of have helped shape your perspective

If you’re looking for help getting into Cornell, as several of Brooke’s essay coaching students have in the last year or two, be sure to check out our college essay coaching options at supertutortv.com/tutoring.
