SAT Registration Details
You will have to sign in with your College Board account in order to register for any of the SAT test dates. Choosing your testing location is part of the registration process. If you don’t know which test center is best for you, you can find the closest place here. The SAT costs $52.00, and if you want to take the optional essay, the cost is $68.00. However, starting Fall 2021 the optional essay will no longer be on the exam.
Please also note that SAT subject tests have phased out. Read more about it on our blog, “Big Changes Announced to the SAT.”
Additionally, SAT scores are usually released around 2 weeks after the exam date. If you want to learn more about the specific details of score release dates, you can read about them on College Board.
