Have you ever wondered what’s the most offensive question Brooke has been asked as a tutor? We’ll talk about the most offensive, funniest, and oddest questions that Brooke has ever encountered.
Will You Write My Paper for Me?
This is the absolute worst. Whether it’s a college essay or a last minute final paper, any student who asks this question is signaling that they’re cheating or lying. Just because Brooke’s a tutor doesn’t mean that she’s all about the profit.
Will You Tutor Me during My Take Home Final?
This one’s a little less common, but it has popped out throughout the years. One would think that it’s obvious, but the point of tutoring is to help teach you, so you can do the test on your own.
If You Went to Stanford, Why Are You a Tutor?
Implying that being a tutor on YouTube is somehow not good enough or not a respectable job came up once in the YouTube comments section. Once upon a time, Brooke aspired to work in the entertainment industry. While she was in that field, she realized that her values conflicted with the culture, and Brooke just wasn’t as satisfied as she was while working with students. Regardless, becoming a tutor was a way for Brooke to simultaneously educate and entertain, a pair that is not commonly seen in the tutoring industry.
Will You Take the SAT® with Me to Calm Me down?
One student once asked Brooke to go to the testing center with him to calm him down over breaks if he had panic attacks. This was obviously not a good idea as a tutor talking to a student over break would look a lot like cheating. He got through it alright.
How Many Points Will I Improve after You Tutor Me?
Everyone loves to ask this question without revealing if they had done any prep already along with their past scores and grades are. Without any information, Brooke has no idea, and she can’t tell how one will improve as every student is different.
How Do I Read Faster?
This is the most common ACT® question that Brooke receives, and we even have a few videos on it:
How to Get a PERFECT Score on the ACT® Reading Section!!
Anyhow, these are some responses from Brooke. And now you all know how to offend Brooke or get your comment deleted (hopefully you won’t, though!). Regardless, if you have any comments, please drop them by the YouTube video.
