6 Tips for SAT Reading

Tip #1: For Evidence Questions— You’re juggling to much information: four answers, four quotes and a question. Focus on the question THE MOST. It is your anchor.

Tip #2: Many SAT® answer choices are abstract sounding. Push yourself to really understand what they mean – translate them into concrete ideas.

Tip #3: Use process of elimination.

Tip #4: Paraphrase for yourself as you read.

Tip #5: Practice using real SAT® tests.

Tip #6: Be flexible. Sometime one technique will work; other times it won’t. Be ready to switch up your tactics.
